Blue Cheese Jalapeno Burger

Are you drooling yet!??

This has been our dinner for a solid two weeks straight. We used to buy fresh burger patties at the meat counter at our grocery store. One day my husband asked what was in it, and the simplicity of the ingredients made him want to make his own. Our favorite was their blue cheese burger, but for his creation he decided to add jalapenos for a nice kick. I was a little afraid that it would be too much heat, but honestly it was the perfect amount and it added a nice little crunch to it too. He prepares the meat, chops the jalapenos, adds the cheese and I season it. And best part: clean up is a cinch. We buy 3 lbs of ground chuck and the extras we wrap individually wrap in saran wrap, place into a freezer bag & freeze for last minute dinner option!

The Ingredients:
3 lbs. ground chuck
4 oz. blue cheese (or cheddar cheese if you are not a fan of blue cheese)
1 jalapeno seeded & chopped
1 1/2- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, blue cheese, jalapeno, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, & salt. For more flavor, cover, and refrigerate for 2 hours. This is an optional step as we often times just shape the patties and throw them on the grill.
  2. SHAPE PATTIES!
  3. Fire up the grill to high, and grill for about 5 minutes per side, or to desired "doneness" ;)
